Polarizability of a 2D body

This applet calculates the normalized (divided by volume and empty space permittivity) polarizability tensor of a two-dimensional dielectric body. The eigenvector directions are shown with red axes. The digits shown for the eigenvalues are correct. Start by drawing the body. Then click "Calculate". You can change the relative permittivity (note that negative values are also accepted.)
