Polarizability of regular polyhedra
Click on the name of any of the Platonic polyhedra (or sphere), give a
value for the relative permittivity, and press Enter. The
applet calculates the normalized polarizability (absolute
polarizability divided by the free-space permittivity and the volume
of the particle). The last box shows the polarizability relative to
the polarizability of a sphere that has the same volume and
permittivity as the polyhedron.
